Creative Source Named Small Business of the Year
Creative Source was honored by the Jackson-Belden Chamber of Commerce as the 2015 Glenn E. Wehl Small Business of the Year at the chamber's annual banquet and awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 22.
"This is a big deal," said David Hess, Creative Source president, to the audience of more than 200 guests in attendance at the Kent State Univerity at Stark Conference Center in North Canton. It means a lot when a company with such a small staff can make a big impact in the business community, and is acknowledged for the quality of its work and the level of service that it provides.
The company was profiled in a brief video introduction that told the story of how Dave Hess started Creative Source in the 1990s after Camelot Music was sold and the marketing department was discontinued. He decided to go into business on his own and eventually carved out a niche in creating large format signage and displays for business and commercial applications.
The award was presented by Dane Mayle, JBCC board chair, and Steven M. Meeks, JBCC president.
